New product - Matte finish

Already available in semi-gloss and satin, showing a gloss level of 65% and 35% respectively, all the products included in the Mercier GENERATIONS collection are now offered in a “matte” finish with a gloss level of  10%.

Matte finish on hardwood floors is gaining in popularity and demand is growing in the residential market. This finish offers a more faithful representation of the natural beauty of wood and its natural characteristics. The matte finish charms consumers who love the natural authentic look of hardwood floors; more veined wood species, more textured grades, and also blends with more uniform textures creating a modern style. The matte texture helps obscure the accumulation of footprints and dust providing more latitude in the frequency of cleanings with the same ease of cleaning.

This new selection in the Mercier Wood Flooring offer opens up new combinations now approaching nearly 2,000 possibilities. Included in the Mercier Design+ offer, the consumers can choose their desired combination of species, stain color, grade and width, as well as the gloss level of their choice - semi-gloss, satin or mate. This gloss level was previously offered only in the Mercier Heritage collection, a wood brushed mechanically to emphasize its natural veins, knots and other character marks. The matte finish offers the same durability as the other gloss levels in the Mercier GENERATIONS, with a 35 year residential warranty.
