The growth rings of white ash (Fraxinus americana) are quite visible, though less pronounced than in oak. Colors range from creamy white with golden undertones to dark brown. White ash changes color moderately over time, becoming amber tinged. This wood has a hardness rating of 1 320 in the Janka test.
