This specie is characterized by highly textured grain and clearly visible growth rings, this rustic, natural looking specie has color tones ranging from beige to medium brown. Wormy Chestnut has a Janka hardness rating of 1810. Wormy Chestnut changes color moderately over time, becoming a rusty and sometimes reddish brown.
